Police are investigating a shooting that injured two students in Dearwood Public Schools in Michigan.
The school district said in a statement that two students were shot early Wednesday morning at their school on the city’s west side.
They are expected to survive.
No further details were immediately available.
Police said the incident occurred after a man in a car opened fire inside a nearby residence, striking one of the students.
No other information was immediately available about the victims.
The Michigan Department of Education and the FBI are investigating the incident, which occurred at about 2:20 a.m. at a residence in the 700 block of East Lake Street.
