Madison County Schools students will no longer have to wear shirts with their school colors

Madison, Wisconsin (NBC News) — Madison County School District officials are making it more difficult for students to wear their school colours, as students and parents are protesting the decision.

The district announced Monday it will no long wear shirts that show the school colors on the backs of school bags, and will require students to keep their school attire at arm’s length from teachers and staff, as well as from other students.

School officials are also considering other measures, including limiting the number of shirts a student can wear.
