Lincoln High School students react to school shooting

LOS ANGELES (AP) Lincoln High school students say they are angry, traumatized and deeply saddened by the shooting at a high school in Oregon.

It was the first time in the school’s 115-year history that a gunman has targeted students.

The students at Lincoln High are the first to speak publicly about the shooting and they say they were shocked and devastated by the attack.

One student told NBC News: “It is a terrible thing to see.

It was such a peaceful and innocent moment.”

Lincoln High School is in a small community about 10 miles (16 kilometers) east of Portland.

The shooting happened early Friday morning at the school, which has about 8,000 students.

The district has said it is investigating the shooting.
