The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Tuesday issued a voluntary vaccination schedule for elementary and secondary school children nationwide.
It comes amid a nationwide vaccination push, and follows a similar voluntary schedule in California last week.
The state’s Department of Public Health issued a new vaccination schedule on Tuesday, which will be effective Friday.
The CDC recommends all schoolchildren be vaccinated against measles on school grounds, with the exception of the following: A primary school in a rural district.
