Boston College law school graduate and Harvard law school grad are among the first in the country to become victims of a car bomb in the city.
A police source says the bomb detonated in a car on Boston College campus Sunday afternoon, killing two people.
The blast was reported at 7:07 p.m. near the school’s main entrance and the campus police department.

The police source told ABC News that two people were killed and two others were wounded.
The Boston Police Department said it received a call at 7 p.ms.
Sunday afternoon that a car had exploded near a dormitory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
It said a bomb had been found in the vehicle.
The incident caused major disruption in Cambridge and nearby communities, but the university said it was not clear if the incident was related to terrorism.
Students in the Boston area were advised to stay indoors and avoid outdoor areas, and the city’s transportation department said it would close all of its main streets.

(Associated Press) Boston Police Commissioner William Evans told reporters that the explosion was in the parking lot of the Harvard dormitory, and he said the students were not wearing seat belts.
Evans said the explosion came about 15 minutes after a police bomb squad was called to the campus after a student reported a suspicious package.
Police said the car had a bomb attached to it and it was detonated in the car.
It is unclear if the bomb had a timer, but it was the first time the bomb has been detonated in Massachusetts.
Evans told the Boston Herald that one person was injured and the other was treated for minor injuries.
Police have not released the names of the victims.
The university said a person who was inside the car was treated and released.
The bombing was the latest in a string of bombings in Boston and elsewhere in the U.S. since the beginning of the year.
In December, a pipe bomb exploded in a public park in Cambridge.
Earlier in February, a man was shot and killed in a Boston subway station.
And last month, a woman was killed and her son was wounded when a man drove through a police checkpoint and opened fire on pedestrians in the heart of Boston.
